Armed Forces Covenant

Decron has proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant and in December 2023 received Bronze Award recognition for their commitment to the scheme throughout 2023.

These are the opening words:

We, the undersigned, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community.

We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

It’s a binding agreement that says that Decron and other likeminded companies respect the contribution that the Armed Forces make to the country.

We value the people who sign up.

We support them and we’ll do what we can to get them back into civilian life, and into a stable job.

Here at Decron we see ourselves as slightly different to other roofing and cladding businesses. We want to be the next generation of roofing and cladding companies.

There are so many benefits from employing ex-military personnel. They’re disciplined, they’re physically fit and they know how to work as a team.

Suzanne Taylor – Marketing Consultant

Suzanne’s unwavering commitment to our business is a driving force in our marketing efforts. Her journey began at the age of 17 when she joined the Armed Forces as a Data Telegraphist with the Royal Corps of Signals. Over her 8 years dedicated service, she embarked on incredible adventures with postings in Germany, Cyprus and the UK, forging lasting friendships and broadening her horizons through travel and encounters with remarkable individuals. Suzanne’s early training in the Army laid the foundation for her tireless dedication to her own marketing business. After leaving the military, she channelled her skills into a career spanning over 26 years within the Property and Construction Industry, specialising in Bid Writing, PR, and Marketing. In September 2020, she established her own venture, Cre8t Marketing, a testament to her expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.

Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys spending her free time socialising with family and friends.  She is happily married and has three children.  Beyond her personal life, Suzanne is deeply involved in her local community. She has dedicated 12 years as a Trustee and Treasurer with Barnoldswick Scouts, and more recently, she assumed the role of Trustee and Treasurer for Pendle Food For All in Nelson, Lancashire, where her passion for making a positive impact shines through.
